Ann Emory Keller, 82, of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
Born in Shelby, North Carolina, Ann was the daughter of the late Mosey and Ellen Emory. She spent many years working at the Celanese plant in Shelby, where she built lasting friendships and was known for her strong work ethic.
Ann was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and lived her life with a spirit that was uniquely her own. She had a love for adventure and simple joys—whether it was playing bingo, trying her luck at slot machines, or enjoying her favorite Mountain Dew while watching QVC. She cherished trips to Myrtle Beach with her family, loved soaking up the sun by the pool, and never missed a chance to go dancing, especially to country music. Ann lived life on her own terms, bringing energy, humor, and independence wherever she went.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Toney and husband Jeff, whose care and support meant so much to her; her beloved grandson, Jordan Toney and his wife Rose; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Ezra, Joanna, Jude, and Charlotte. She is also survived by her sister Joyce Bridges and husband Charlie; sister Rachel Proctor; brother Ronnie Emory and wife Judy; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her sister Ellen Ellis and husband Jerry; her first husband, Bill Lail, father of her daughter; her husband Robert Keller; and brother-in-law Phillip Proctor.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Peachtree Centre in Gaffney, South Carolina, for the compassionate care they provided.
Ann will be remembered for her independent spirit, her unique personality, and the way she found adventure throughout the many stages of her life. She was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 2338 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Grover, NC 28073.
