William Asa Lovelace

SHELBY - William Asa Lovelace, 87, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Wendover Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his wife he was married to for 56 years, Geraldine Lovelace; son, Mark Lovelace; grandsons, William Ferree and Noah Lovelace; parents, Landrum and Lillian McSwain Lovelace; brothers, Rafe Lovelace and wife Marie and Keever Lovelace; sister, Anna Ray Brooks and husband, John;  brother- and sister-in-laws, Gene Blanton and wife Joann; Robert Ledford and wife Estelle and Bob Blanton.

William leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughters, Jean Lovelace and Audrey Emerson; two grandsons, Zack Lovelace and Cory Ferree and wife Kendra; one granddaughter, Cierra Smith and husband, Brock; great-grandchildren, Asa Lovelace, Andrew Smith, Braylan Smith and Chloe Smith; sister-in-laws, Ruth Lovelace and Shirley Blanton; numerous nieces and nephews. 

He worked as an Auto Mechanic for 25 years. Upon retirement, he worked for Red Bridges Barbecue and enjoyed his time with MaMa B and Debbie. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church for over 60 years and he loved the Lord. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He will truly be missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Cleveland Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1225 College Ave, Shelby, NC 28152 . Visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service. Entombment following service at Cleveland Memorial Park Mausoleum.
