Vickie Ann (Costner) Holt

DALLAS - Vickie Ann Holt, 63, passed away on June 15, 2017 at Robin Johnson Hospice House surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born to the late Robert and Hazeline Stines Costner on July 15, 1953 in Gaston County, NC.

Vickie leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Carl Holt of the home; children, Connie Costner, Nicole & Allen Hanshaw, Robert & Ashley Holt, David Holt and Ashley Adams; sisters, Louis Costner, Marie & Todd Arnold and Barbara & Ben Roberts; nephews and nieces, Lewis & Gina Costner, Dewey & Kimberly Costner, Hazel & Thomas Saint, Micheal & Patrick Barns, Charles & Lisa Russell, Christy & Mark Bates, Phillip & Chelsey Reep, Marcie Arnold and Bella Arnold; great-nephews and nieces, Cameron & Tiffany Costner, Taylor, Ryan, Brooke, Erika, Victoria, Stephanie, Logan, Austin, Kortney, Marissa, Eli, Taylor and Hunter; nanny-children, Summer & Gary Yates, Autumn Holt, Johnny Colon, Jr., Brittany, Aleah, Brooklyn, Rilynn, Braiden, Addyson, Kenneth and Reagan; great nanny-children, Brantley and Paxton. 

As we celebrate the life of Vickie Holt, her memory is left up us to pass down to the next generation to come. She was someone you could call to babysit your kids. (Don't take them in good clothes they will come home with chocolate on them). Don't you dare try and tell your child what to do (they're not going to get hurt ). Momma loved to make candy at Christmas and to make all them cakes for all of those baby's birthdays. Don't you put your hand in the food she is making but she always made an extra dozen of eggs so when Carl, Robert and Allen was sneaking eggs there was enough for dinner (momma already knew what y'all boys were doing you didn't have to tell on each other). Momma was someone you didn't have to talk to every day or even every week she would fill you in (thank God Carl called and you can get off the line since you been trying for the last hour). We all have good memories of Vickie Costner Holt and it is our job to to pass them on to the next generation. She loves each and everyone of you and will be right by your side as she told me, "I can watch you better from heaven".

Celebration of Life Services for Vickie Holt will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 5:00 pm for dinner and 6:00-8:00 pm for services at Maranatha Baptist Church, 104 Downey Lake Road, Dallas, North Carolina, 28034.
