Thomas Grover Howell III

FOREST CITY - Thomas "Tom" Grover Howell III, 72, unexpectedly passed away from a motor vehicle accident on Monday, September 16, 2019. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas Grover Howell, Jr. "TG" and Pauline Jones Howell "Polly"; sister, Judy Goforth.

Tom leaves behind to cherish his memories his son, Mark E. Howell; daughter-in-law, Courtney Griffith Howell; grandchildren, Beatrice, Thomas Steele and Ella Howell; sister, Cathy York (Skip); a number of nieces and nephews.

He attended Shelby High School and Western Carolina University. He was intelligent, unique, and a good person and friend to many.  He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
