Sherman “Buster” Cash, Jr.

MOORESBORO Sherman “Buster” Cash, Jr., 84, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2019 at Atrium Healthcare - Cleveland surrounded by loving family. He is predeceased by his spouse, Barbara Jean Cash; parents, Sherman Sr. and Ollie Moore Cash; siblings, Olema Henson, Mary Lou Ledford, Joe Cash and Coleen Pearson.

Sherman leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter, JoAnn Lawson (Rusty); son, Buster Gene Cash; four grandchildren, Travis Lawson (LeeAnn), Kyle Cash (Haley Blanton), Brandon Hoffman and Tyler Hoffman; eight great-grandchildren, Bella, Hannah, Hayden and Hayleigh Hoffman, Carter and Jacob Lawson and Jordyn Cash; two brothers, David Cash (Jean) and Chester Cash (Doris); sister-in-law, Jessie Cash.

Sherman served in the United States Army and worked In Textiles as a knitter. He enjoyed collecting coins, working in his yard and riding his tractor. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Shelby Freewill Baptist Church, 403 College Avenue, Shelby, NC 28152. Gathering of family and friends following the service. Interment will be private at Cleveland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shelby Freewill Baptist Church, 403 College Avenue, Shelby, NC 20152.
