SHELBY - Richard Allen Jurgens, 53, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Testa Hospice House, Kings Mountain surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Lewis Wayne Howton and Alice Jean Boyd. He is also predeceased by his son, Bubba; sisters, Linda Boyd and Kay Thompson; brothers, Buck Jurgens and Grant Bol.

Richard leaves behind to cherish his memories his soulmate and ex-wife, Lisa Jurgens; sister, Renee Norton; Nephews, Anthony Kostreba and Michael Norton; great-niece, Aliyah Norton.

He loved to fish, play guitar, which was his favorite of all to do, sing music and just being around his family. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.
