Paula Jeanne (Richardson) Wyatt

SHELBY - Mrs. Paula Jeanne Wyatt, 90, passed to her heavenly home Tuesday, January 29th, 2019. Born February 25th, 1928 in Dade County Florida, she was a daughter to the late William A. and Lucille Byran Richardson.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years, Paul Wyatt; a daughter, Henrietta Castles.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Paulette Grimsley and her husband Junior of Lumberton, NC; her son, Stan Wyatt and his wife Darla of Shelby; eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. 

Mrs. Wyatt was of the Baptist faith, loved her Lord, and attended Faith Baptist Church in Shelby. Most of all she loved her Paul. She was homemaker that put her family first as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandma. As a talented seamstress for many years at A.V. Wray Clothiers, she was also an exceptional quilter, and made sure that everyone in her family had at least one of her quilts.

A celebration of Mrs. Wyatt’s life will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, Feb. 1st at Ross Grove Baptist Church (1225 Fallston Rd.) officiated by Terry Garner. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.

Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
