Jesse Yates Bowen

SHELBY - Jesse Yates Bowen, 53, a native of Cleveland County, passed away at his residence on Monday, February 19, 2018 surrounded by loving family. He was born to the late Everette and Dorothy Mullinax Bowen on October 22, 1964. He is also predeceased by a brother, James Edward Bowen.

Jesse leaves behind to cherish his memories his four children, Christina Bowen, Jennifer Bowen, Jesse Lee Bowen and Kenny Bridges; two sisters, Melinda Drake and Patricia Byers; two brothers, Everette Bowen, Jr. and Jackie Bowen; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; fiance' of 25 years, Marie Bridges.

He worked as an electrician for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, drinking coffee, watching sports and just being outdoors. He loved being around and just spending time with his family. He was a terrific father, grandfather, brother, uncle, fiance' but most of all he was a hero. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church, 2738 South Post Road, Shelby, NC 28152.

Services are entrusted to Robert Morgan Funeral and Cremation Service, of Boiling Springs, NC.
