RUTHERFORDTON - Jeffrey Scott Freeman died unexpectedly on Friday, March 31st, 2017 in Rutherford County, NC at the age of 37.

Scott is survived by his Mother, Debra P. Burnette, of Cleveland Co. NC. Father, William "Billy" Freeman, of York County, SC. Son Aedan Lucas Freeman, of Rutherford County, NC. Siblings, Brandy and Chad Warren, Jonathan Freeman, Amy Freeman and Will LaFar, Michael Freeman and Linda Williamson, all of Gaston County, NC Jessica Burnette and Tyler Cranfill of Raleigh, NC. Step-Father and siblings, Ronald Burnette Sr, Shirley Burnette, and Ronald Burnette Jr. Nieces and Nephews, Christina "Chrissy" Moss, Timothy McGinnis, Nathan McGinnis, Cody Ward, Dylan Williamson, Haley Costner, Samuel "Sam" Lowrance Jr., Ethan Williamson, Cassidy Costner, Landon LaFar, and special family friend Shelain Hawkins.

Scott was born on June 20th, 1979 in Gastonia, NC to Debra and Billy. He attended school in Gaston County, NC. After relocating to Rutherford County, NC he welcomed the love of his life, son Aedan Freeman.

Scott had two great passions in life. First and foremost was being a father. Every moment with Aedan was a joyful time for Scott and Aedan both. Secondly was his love for basketball and the Duke Blue Devils, which he also shared with Aedan. Scott will be missed by many but never forgotten.

A Funeral is scheduled for Thursday, April 6th 2017 at Trinity Church of the Living God, 119 Kristie Ln. Kings Mtn. NC. Viewing for family from 4-5pm, open to friends from 5-6pm with service immediately thereafter. Officiated by Pastor Darrell Alexander. All are welcome to come and celebrate Scott's life.
