Jacob Andrew Sims

SPARTANBURG - Beloved son of Joseph Ernest Sims and Mary King Putnam tragically passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018.

A graduate of Gaffney High School, Jacob was born on February 13, 1992 in Cleveland County, NC and was currently residing in Gaffney, SC.

His bright eyes, contagious smile and laugh will be missed by his family and many friends.

Starting his journey ahead of us, he is survived by his parents Joseph Ernest “Joey” Sims of Forest City and Mary King Putnam and Roger Putnam; his sister and brothers Chasity and Joshua Sims and Vincent Putnam; grandparents Ernest and Judy Sims; aunts and uncles Starlyn and Jim Whisnant, Karen and Randy Page; nieces and nephews Elijah, Ada and Jonah Sims; cousins, Cody, Tucker, and Lee Whisnant, Jennifer Osganian, Chloe, Sadie and Kristy Page and Katie Pratt; and Jacob’s girlfriend Nicole Hicks.

Memorial service will be held at Sulphur Springs Congregational Holiness Church, 2945 US Highway 221 South Forest City, NC 28043 on Saturday, August 11th, 2018 at 2:00 pm.

Jacob’s family requests that memorial donations be made in his honor to Cherokee Children’s Home at 215 Allison Drive, Gaffney, SC in lieu of flowers.
