Eugene Nelson Brackett

RUTHERFORD - Mr Eugene (Gene) Nelson Brackett, age 50, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. He is predeceased by his father, James Brackett who passed away on September 23, 2015.

Gene leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Lorie Brackett; daugher, Krystal Melton and husband, Justin, daughter, Beth Mann and son, Cliff Mann; mother, Lela Brackett; grandchildren, Kelsey Rene Melton, Jonathan Douglas Melton, grandson coming October 5, 2017 with his middle name after his Pawpaw Jaxon "Eugene" Melton; sister, Carol Towery, Sister, Theresa Duffy and brother, Stan Brackett; numerous cousins and friends.

He enjoyed riding and fixing motorcycles, camping, riding up to the mountains on the weekends, hanging out and piddling around in his garage, making music and playing the drums with his friends. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. He will greatly missed by those who loved and knew him.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at First Broad Baptist Church, 2470 NC Highway 226, Bostic, NC 28018 on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 3:30 P.M. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 3:30 PM also at the church.
