Estelle Myrtle Cagle

SHELBY - Estelle Myrtle Cagle was born May 3, 1933, in Kent Store Virginia.  She went home to be with our Lord on Monday, April 29, 2019, after a long illness. She would have celebrated her 86th birthday this month.  Estelle spent her last year at White Oak Manor in Shelby.

She is predeceased by her mother, Lucille, and step-father, J.D. Ingram.  She is survived by five sons, Ronald (Gayle) Walker, Robert (Wanda) Walker, Richard (Judy) Walker, Randy (Kandi) Walker and Kevin Walker; three daughters, Rosie (Mike) McMinn, Debbie McCarthy and Donna (Lester) Smith; 20 grandchildren; many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Estelle retired from Wal-Mart in Shelby at the age of 81. Her first interest was her eight children.  She enjoyed music and dancing and was an avid reader. She treasured the company of her friends, especially Tiny Bingham, and never met a stranger.

Estelle loved laughter, funny stories and shopping. With her captive smile and shining hazel eyes, she had a beauty that drew people to her.  Estelle's love of life touched those around her and will be missed by those who love her.

Thank you, Mom, for all the shared times and warm memories.  You will be greatly missed, but remembered always in our hearts.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery, 3830 Dravo Road, Shelby, NC 28152.
