Christine Sicilia (Barr) Vancil

DALLAS - Christine Sicilia Barr Vancil, age 56, went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from CaroMont Regional Medical Center . She was born to Wesley Barr, Sr. and the late Kitty Jean Sicilia Barr in Illinois in 1962.

Christine leaves behind to cherish her memories with her three children, daughter, Jennifer Manker (Jorge) of Gastonia, daughter, Christian Manker and son, Thomas Manker, Jr.; father, Wesley Barr, Sr.; five grandchildren, Marievelle Manker, Emilia Chavez, Jhonathan Manker, Briana Perez and Armando Perez; brother, Wesley Barr, Jr. (Sherry), sister, Betty Phu (Hiep), sister, Robin Stubbs (Wyman), brother, Michael Barr and brother, Joe Barr and his daughter; nieces and nephews, Tina, Tony, Ty, Kitty, Jake and Nick; numerous cousins, uncles and aunts.

She enjoyed doing latch hook and eating strawberry milkshakes, loved to color: her favorite color was purple she also loved her computer tablet it was her world. She loved and enjoyed being around her family but most of all her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving mom with a beautiful smile.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Cherryville Church of God, 810 East Main Street, Cherryville, NC with Pastor Don Capel officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
