Walter Ledford

CHARLESTON - Mr. Walter Rowe Ledford, age 86, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Medical University of South Carolina. He was born to the late Plato Ledford on December 22, 1930. He is also proceeded in death by a son, Mike Ledford.

Walter leaves behind to cherish his memories one son, Steve Ledford (Brenda) of Shelby; three grandchildren, Angela Crotts, Amy Oaks and Anthony Whitworth; a girlfriend, Doris Ann Scott and family.

He served in the United States Army (Korea). He will be truly missed and loved by his family and those who knew him.

A funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 3932 Pleasant Grove Church Road, Shelby, NC 28150 with the Rev. Jimmy Black officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service.
