Thomas Ray Pearson

LAWNDALE - Mr. Thomas Ray "Sive" Pearson, 78, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Carolina's Medical Center - Main surrounded by his loving family.  He was born to the late JT and Ruth Pearson on November 14, 1939.  He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Pearson and Larry Pearson; one sister, Phyllis "Tilly" Head.

He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 58 years, Nancy Brackett Pearson of the home; son, Ray Pearson and wife Vicki of Lawndale; son, Greg Pearson of Lawndale; granddaughter, Amanda Erwin and husband Clint of Conover; grandson, Josh Pearson and fiance', Taylor of Lawndale; two great-grandsons, Ezekiel and Cayson Pearson of Lawndale.  

Ray was a retired television repairman.  His friendly and selfless nature put smiles on the faces of every door he entered.  In his retirement, he enjoyed tending his rosebushes and planting a garden every summer.  He loved to share the fruits of his harvest especially his softball sized green peppers.  Ray was a hard headed delight and he will be missed greatly.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Palm Tree United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1160 West Stagecoach Trail, Lawndale, NC with Fred Towery officiating.
