Joan Leslie (Coutant) Halsey

KINGS MOUNTAIN - A former, longtime resident of Greenwood, New York, Joan Leslie Coutant Halsey, 76, joined her late husband, Edward "Spook" Halsey in Paradise on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 with her family by her side.

She was born in Trenton, New Jersey on April 10, 1941 to the late John Carl Coutant and Miriam Rowand Ambler. She grew up in Yardley, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Pennsbury High School in 1959 she was a longtime resident of Greenwood, New York. 

She enjoyed landscaping projects in addition to being a homemaker and mother to her children.

Joan leaves behind to cherish her memories, Robert Malesinski, Kimberly Malesinski, Daniel Malesinski, Jesse Reid, Joan Dewall, Jolene Madison and Joshua Morgan; three sisters, Carol Coutant, Cynthia Longfoot and Cathy MacFarland; sixteen grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Kings Mountain Hospice House, 321 Kings Mountain Boulevard, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 at 11:00 AM in the chapel.
