SHELBY - Jimmy Eugene Vanover, Sr., 62, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at his residence with his wife and family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Clarice Vanover of 20 years; siblings, Cynthia Early, Gretta Lawson, Irene Vanover and Linda Williams; granddaughter, Emilee.

Jimmy, Sr. leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 40 years, Janice Vanover; children, Jeannie Sykes (Michael) and Jimmy Vanover, Jr. (Rebecca), Jonathan Vanover (Krystle); seven grandchildren, Austin, Andrew, Cole, Kayla, Michael, Cameron and Brian; one great-granddaughter, Ellianna; six siblings, Naomi Vanover, Marvin Vanover, Keith Vanover, Charles Vanover, Elizabeth Russell and Matthew Vanover; several nieces and nephews.

Jimmy proudly served in the United States Army. He was born in Springfield, OH and resided in Michigan for 50 years where he was a hard worker and friend. He loved his family and being around them. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held on June 16, 2018 at the American Legion in Milan, MI.
