Delores Hayes Obituary
SHELBY - Delores Mote Hayes, 88, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in to the late David and Edna Bright Mote on September 29, 1929 in Gastonia, NC. She is also predeceased by her husband, Howard A. Hayes; one son, Chris Allen Hayes; one sibling, Geneva Mote Skinner.
Delores leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughters, Donna Sutton and husband Pete, Jr. of Shelby and Starla R. Hayes of Lecanto, FL; son, Tracy G. Hayes of Conyers, GA; grandchildren, Savannah Hayes, TJ Hayes, Brad English, Dixie M. Sutton and Daniel A. Sutton; great-grandchildren, Gage English, Thomas M. Sutton and William Allen Sutton.
Delores attended Christ the King Church, Shelby, NC. She enjoyed bird houses, singing, sewing, crafts and being around family. She loved National Geographic's. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will truly be missed.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Bethel Christian Church in Conyers, GA with Pastor Vernon Moore and Pastor Ken Stokes, Sr officiating. Family and Friends are welcome to attend.
