Bobby Evans Parker

LAWNDALE - Bobby Evans Parker, 79, passed away at his residence on Saturday, October 15, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Bain and Catherine Bynum Parker on November 27, 1936. He is also predeceased by two brothers, David Lee Parker and Ray McDowell Parker.

Bobby leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memories his wife, Nancee Parker of the home; son, Bobby Parker Jr., of Vero Beach, FL; daughter, Theresa Scharfschwerdt, of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Tarin, Ben and Emily Scharfschwerdt all of Vero Beach, FL; sister, Sheron Hovis (James) of Lincolnton, NC.

Bobby served in the US Army, he was a licensed pilot and instructor and loved to fly his airplanes. He was a member of Norman's Grove Baptist Church, he enjoyed golf and sports. He is very much loved and will be truly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Norman's Grove Baptist Church, 206 Carpenter's Grove Church Road, Belwood, NC with Pastor Keith Huss officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Full Military Honors by the Rutherford County Honor Guard will be held at graveside.
