Barry Wayne Denton

SHELBY - Barry Wayne Denton age 56 of Shelby passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016. Born on September 23, 1959 he was the son of the late Jack and Muriel Scism Denton.

Barry was known for his caring and generous heart.  He is truly loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his sons, Chad (Jackie) Denton of Charlotte and Barry Denton Jr. of Shelby; daughters, Jessica Denton and April Denton of Shelby; four grandchildren; brothers, Eddie (Debbie) Denton, Larry (Pam) Denton and Michael (Donna) Hastings of Shelby; sisters, Teresa (Gary) Queen of Golden Valley and Bobbie (Jason) Newton of Cherryville; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; a very special lifelong friend Barbara Fults.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Way Of The Cross Freewill Baptist Church, 875 East Zion Church Road, Shelby, NC 28150 with Rev. David Blanton officiating.
